Dr. Imtiaz A. Khan is a Fortune 50 Company executive who has taken upon himself the responsibility to shape agendas for quality, safety and clinical outcomes with the ultimate aim to improve patient healthcare. Besides his distinguished career in the corporate world, he has devoted his life to promoting peace, justice and equality for all. As a cofounder of Doctors Worldwide and the World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists, he has fulfilled a lifelong passion for helping others, irrespective of social divides.
Dr. Khan has a vast working experience in the healthcare sector. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and completed postgraduate training at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC. He was most recently the Chief Medical Officer with Regenesis Community Health Center, focusing on community revitalization through preventative and comprehensive healthcare. He has also taught at the University Sains Malaysia as assistant professor of Family Medicine. He has several awards and honors to his credit including the Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
In the past two decades, Dr. Khan has worked as a volunteer physician within and outside of the United States. He led medical teams to offer relief to regions that suffered from man-made and natural disasters such as Albania, Kosovo, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka during the Asian tsunami.
Dr. Khan is actively involved in a number of high-impact philanthropic initiatives, both at the local and global level.
